Armor

I can be soft now.

Soft hands

Soft smile

Soft body

Nothing to defend from,

nothing to resist.

My soul speaks,

and my body listens.

The power I twine in

always overcomes.

Amongst the herd,

it does not belong

They could not defeat me,

this has been the secret all along.

It is the chief conductor

of the sun's invictus song.

I walk in the sheath of its armor,

I perceive no distress.

A fierce tigress with her cub,

it supplies and protects.

I breathe in its territory

and I must confess,

this being cares for me

so true, I do not second guess.

Sheltered in its keep,

a freedom where I rest.

Secure in me,

I have succeeded in this quest

This is safety

the Self addressed.

The fruits of bravery,

a life fully expressed.
